COVID-19 Update

Dear Patients, Residents, Family and Staff:

Our heart goes out to the Family Members and Friends of those who lost loved ones due to potential Covid complications; our thoughts and prayers are with you. We encourage each of you to reach out to us should there be anything at all we can do for you.

We are glad to inform you that most everyone who has experienced Covid due to this event has now gradated! We now have one Resident from Assisted Living who is slated to graduate on the 24th, and two other Residents from the Long Term Care side who’ll be graduating on the 21st and 27th. More good news; as of today, Assisted Living, Willow 1, Willow 2, and Maple 1 are Covid free for now. We want to thank all our Team Members for working so hard on behalf of our Residents and Patients; we couldn’t be more grateful and proud of all your efforts and sacrifice.

No Residents tested positive for Covid today, but we did have one Team Member who tested Covid Positive today, and will be quarantining from the facility per CDC guidelines. On a scheduled round of Covid testing for Assisted Living today, no Residents tested positive. First and Second floor Residents who have not tested positive for Covid will be tested on a scheduled round of Covid Testing tomorrow 1/21/2022.

Please also consider that we are currently running Contingent Staffing still due to the number of Staff Members who are currently out with Covid, and Staff Members who are out for other illnesses. We ask for grace, understanding, and patience for All our Team Members who are currently fighting the good fight on behalf of your loved ones with all they’ve got and then some.

The Covid Vaccine Mandate from the Federal Government has been upheld by the Supreme Court and is now in full force for all 50 States. All Healthcare workers are to be fully vaccinated by February the 13th. Yes, the effective date was changed due to the time constraint this mandate would place on Healthcare workers and Healthcare facilities. If you are unsure if you have been registered in the system as fully vaccinated, it is your responsibility to check with Nik in HR to ensure you have reached compliance. You can also just toss a copy of your Vaccination Card underneath HR’s door.

Please keep in mind that the Federal Mandate Requires Complete Vaccination for all Healthcare professionals, or a fully executed exemption form; and Work Is Contingent Upon Compliance with this Mandate by Sunday, February 13th.

We appreciate everyone’s collaboration, compliance, and discipline with all guidelines at this time; we will get through this together!

At your service,

The Leadership Team at Shawnee PARC
