COVID-19 Update
Dear Patients, Residents, Family and Staff:
We are glad to inform you that another scheduled round of Covid 19 testing was completed today on all Residents and Patients who have not tested positive thus far; no one’s test returned positive. A Staff Member tested positive today and is currently quarantining per CDC guidelines. We’ve collaborated with the Department of Health to determine how many more rounds of testing will need to be completed before the Facility is officially deemed resolved of this event. With the scheduled round of testing today, the Department of Health has determined that we no longer have to do further scheduled testing at this time. Testing will continue to take place based on symptomology for both Residents and Staff; non-vaccinated Staff will continue with twice per week testing.
It’s been formalized by the Department of Health; as of 1/31/2022, Covid event which commenced on 12/31/2022 has been resolved!!! Again, we want to thank all our Residents, Patients, Family Members, and Visitors for your support, patience, and discipline with all infection control practices and interventions put in place for everyone’s safety during this Covid event. Another SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR DEDICATED TEAM MEMBERS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK DURING THIS COVID EVENT!!! WE COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!!!
You can expect Covid Update Letters should there be any new positive Covid tests moving forward. We continue to urge everyone to get vaccinated, wear a mask, social distance, and hand hygiene when appropriate. Please take note that large Family Member/Visitor gatherings are not appropriate/safe. It was unfortunate that a Family decided to throw a party for a Resident and we had to kindly remind them that large gatherings are not safe/appropriate; there were over twelve adults and children who were not social distancing nor wearing their masks for a large part of their visit. Please consider minimizing the number of people based on the size of the room and six feet social distancing. Please take note Visitors and Family Members should keep their masks on in all common areas of the building at all times.
Please also consider that we are still running Contingent Staffing due to the number of Staff Members who are out for illnesses. We ask for grace, understanding, and patience for All our Team Members who are currently fighting the good fight. Staff Members will reach out to you if there’s a change in condition with your loved one.
Team Members:
Please keep in mind the Federal Mandate Requires Complete Vaccination for all Healthcare Professionals, or a fully executed exemption form; and Work Is Contingent Upon Compliance with this Mandate by Sunday, February 13th. If you haven’t done so already, please see Alicia Woodruff, HR Director and present her with proof of vaccination/booster or exemption form before this date so we can submit this information before the deadline.
We appreciate everyone’s collaboration, compliance, and discipline with all guidelines.
At your service,
The Leadership Team at Shawnee PARC
