Re: COVID-19 Updates
Dear Residents, Family and Friends:
As of today, we still have not had any confirmed cases of Covid-19 and continue to follow the highest standard of infection control practices. The non-visitation policy has not been lifted but our Infection Control Team is working with the Public Health Department Regional Task Force for Covid-19 in Long-Term Care on a plan to allow outdoor visits. The following items will be taken into consideration:
- Appropriate outdoor spacing to allow for social distancing
- A plan for symptom screening
- The maximum number of visitors per day
- Resident eligibility for visits
- Scheduling processes
- Visitation logistics and guidelines
In addition, we are now allowing residents to participate in group activities and group therapies with appropriate social distancing and masking, as well as communal dining in small groups with social distancing. Please note that all of these activities continue to be contingent on not having any COVID cases.
